Crisis Erases 120,000 Jobs From Romania’s Textile Industry

The financial crisis and Asian markets’ upsurge wiped out over 120,000 jobs from Romania’s textile, apparel and footwear industries during 2007-2014. However, during the same period the salaries of the over 220,000 employees left in the field soared by almost 80%, slowly heading toward the average salary in the economy.
