Romania Up 4 Notches In IMD 2011 World Competitiveness Report

Romania went up four places to 50th in the annual IMD World Competitiveness report, with a total score of 57.497 out of 100 points possible.

Hong Kong and the USA were tied for number, as both received a score of 100, followed by Singapore, with 98.6 points.

In Central and Eastern Europe, Estonia is ranked best, on the 33rd spot, followed by Poland (34th), Turkey (39th) and Lithuania (45th).

The IMD's report ranks 59 states in terms of global competitiveness.
