Bankers On BNR's New Restrictions: We Need Low Interests On Leu Loans, Not Regulations

The current anomalies of the retail lending market have been generated by regulations imposed by the National Bank of Romania, or BNR, at some point, as solutions to certain situations, but the new rules that the central bank is working on now should not go further than to seek harmonization with European definitions and standards, says Steven van Groningen, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank Romania.
