Citi: Leu Propped Up By Financial Investments

The inflows of foreign capital on the Romanian market that led to the recent appreciation of the leu are the result of some financial investments based on yield and risk assessments compared with other European markets, and not of foreign direct investments, as would be desirable, says Tibor Pandi, CEO of Citibank Romania, the local branch of the US financial giant Citi.
