EIB Cancels EUR465M Loan to Romania for Subway Line Over Delays

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has canceled a loan of EUR465 million granted to Romania in 2011 for the Universitate-Pantelimon section of Bucharest's fifth subway mainline as no funds were drawn in 2013-2016, an audit report by the Court of Accounts showed Tuesday.
