Emporiki Bank Romania 1Q Revenue Rise 30% To EUR3.7M

Emporiki Bank Romania posted a 30% increase in revenues to EUR3.76 million in the first quarter, from EUR2.9 million in the same period a year earlier, the mother company, Emporiki Bank of Greece said in its financial report Friday.

Emporiki Bank Romania's non current assets rose 1.6% on the year to EUR9.1 million in the first quarter.

Group-wide, Emporiki Bank reported a loss of EUR160 million in January to March, narrower from EUR209 million in the corresponding months of 2010.

The group had non current assets of EUR409.9 million end March.

Emporiki Bank of Greece, owned by Crédit Agricole, holds 99.6877% in Emporiki Bank Romania.

Founded in 1996, Emporiki Bank Romania runs 34 branches on the local market, of which 14 are located in capital Bucharest.
