The losses of hundreds of millions of lei posted by Austrian insurers’ Romanian subsidiaries in the past few years and the problems on the auto liability policy segment were two of the things carefully monitored by the financial supervisory authority in Vienna, said Peter Braumueller, managing director for insurance and pension supervision of Austria’s financial market authority.
