Romania Rejects All Bids At 10-Year Bond Tender

06.08.2015 By Bogdan Neagu

Romania’s Finance Ministry on Monday rejected all offers at the reopening of a ten-year bond due June 2021, citing high yields, central bank data showed.

The ministry planned to raise 300 million lei (EUR67.5 million) at an undersubscribed auction, with book orders amounting to just RON209.7 million.

The bond, which was launched in May 2011, was last reopened in April, when the ministry raised 200 million lei (EUR45 million) at an average yield of 2.7% a year.

The finance ministry plans to raise RON2.8 billion at treasury auctions in June, up from RON2.1 billion in the previous month.
