The Bucharest-listed shares gained slightly Friday, in a very quiet session ahead of the Easter holiday, with investors showing some interest only for the financial stocks.

The Bucharest-listed shares gained slightly Friday, in a very quiet session ahead of the Easter holiday, with investors showing some interest only for the financial stocks.

The Bucharest Stock Exchange's composite index BET-C closed up 0.5% at 3,519.62, while the blue-chip index BET gained little more ground as it ended at 5,917.36, up 0.85% on the day.

BET-FI, which tracks investment fund Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) and the regional investment funds SIFs, inched up 0.1% to 25,954.7.

The total traded value on the Bucharest stock exchange was of just 3.2 million lei (EUR0.78 million), of which share transfers amounted to RON2.7 million.

The extended index BET-XT rose 0.65% to 552.52, while energy stock tracker BET-NG increased by 1.1% to 835.77.

Fondul Proprietatea was the most-traded issuer Friday, with its shares ending flat on the day at RON0.58.

Banca Transilvania (TLV.RO) saw its shares close up 0.9%, at RON1.52, while BRD-Groupe Societe Generale (BRD.RO) ended up 0.6%, at RON14.8 a share.

The shares of SIF Transilvania (SIF3.RO) fell 0.2% to RON0.591, while SIF Oltenia (SIF5.RO) gained 0.9% to RON1.59 a share. (EUR1=RON4.0815)
