The Bucharest bourse opened Thursday on an upward trend, maintaining the tendency noted at closing Wednesday, but on moderate traded values.

At around GMT0740, the Bucharest Stock Exchange's composite index BET-C was up 0.37%, while the 10-share blue-chip tracker BET was rising 0.48%.

BET-FI, the index tracking investment fund Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) and the five regional investment funds, or SIFs, was up 0.42% on the day.

Wider blue-chip tracker BET-XT, which also includes the SIFs, was rising 0.47%, while energy companies index BET-NG was gaining 1.28%.

Trades unfolded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange by GMT0742 amounted to 2.63 million lei (EUR1=RON4.0858).

Top-traded issuers early Thursday included SIF Oltenia (SIF5.RO), oil company OMV Petrom (SNP.RO), SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1.RO), the Proprietatea fund and lender Erste Group Bank (EBS.RO).
