Leu In Ranges Vs Euro, Exchange Rate At 4.1065

Romania’s leu traded in ranges against the euro in mid session Thursday and the central bank’s reference strengthened slightly to 4.1065 units, from 4.1127 units a day earlier.

Against the US dollar, the leu's indicative reached 2.7655 units, little changed from 2.7652 units in the previous session.

The leu opened at 4.106/4.108 per euro, barely changed from 4.1055/4.1075 per at Wednesday's closing and traded near 4.11 per euro for the first part of the day.

On the money market, overnight rates fell to 4%-4.5% a year, from 4.3%-4.8% a year Wednesday.
