Leu’s Exchange Rate Hits 1-Month Low At 4.1208 Vs Euro

Romania’s leu traded near 4.12 per euro in mid session Friday and the central bank’s reference weakened nearly 0.4% on the day at 4.1208 units, the lowest level in one month.

Against the US dollar, the leu's indicative lost 2.5% at 2.8347 units, from 2.7655 units a day earlier.

The leu opened down at 4.12/4.123 per euro, from 4.1115/4.1135 per euro at Thursday's closing.

At around GMT1000, the leu traded at 4.118/4.119 per euro.

On the money market, overnight rates fell to 3.5%-4% a year, from 4%-4.5% a year Thursday.
