One Km Of Highway Can Actually Cost As Little As EUR3.5M In Romania

The cheapest highway built in the past few years in Romania is Timisoara-Arad, where the cost per km is around EUR3.5 million, according to a ZF analysis based on information supplied by national roads and highways company CNADNR. The example of the Timisoara-Arad highway shows in fact that Romanian roads can be built at smaller costs than Romania was used to before, and that savings could have been made on some of the sections built in the past few years.
