Only Five Of The Longest Road Bridges In Romania Were Built After 1989

Fifteen of the longest twenty road bridges in Romania were built prior to the 1989 revolution, many of them in late nineteenth or early twentieth century. This year should see the completion of one of the longest bridges, linking the cities of Calafat and Vidin over the Danube river, which will be 2 kilometers long.
