Pirelli Boss: Protests In Romania Won’t Change Our Plans, We’re Moving Ahead With Investment

Italian tire maker Pirelli, which owns a plant in Slatina (southern Romania), says the EUR160 million investment in the expansion of the facility is not being reconsidered as a result of the protests, especially since the tire market has not been as hurt by the crisis as the auto market and that the premium tire segment, on which it has been focusing over the last few years, is gaining ground on the market.
