Alro Cut Power Consumption By 25% In 2008-2014

Back in 2008, aluminum smelter Alro Slatina (ALR.RO), Romania’s largest electricity consumer, accounted for 7% of the country’s consumption. Last year, it accounted for only 5.7%, following a 25% drop in consumption during the crisis. The amount of electricity Alro saved last year compared with 2008 could power almost 350 apartments.
