Petrom Came Out Of Crisis With 5.5 Times Higher Profit And 9,300 Fewer Employees

OMV Petrom (SNP.RO), the largest company in Romania ended the five years of crisis, 2009-2013, with an all-time high profit of more than EUR1 billion. The profit was 5.5 times higher than in 2009, the most difficult year for the country’s economy after the collapse of Lehman Brothers, and the net profit margin was better than ExxonMobil’s or Shell’s.
