Ford Romania Names New President, GM

John Oldham has been appointed general manager of the Craiova-based plant and president of Ford Romania, replacing Jan Gijsen, who has been running Ford’s operations in Romania in the last five years, the company said in a statement.

Jan Gijsen was appointed manager of the division for European transformation in production, Ford Europe.

With an experience of over 35 years at Ford Great Britain and Ford Europe, Oldham joined Ford Romania team in 2013 as manager of engine plant, and in 2015 he was appointed assistant operations manager, Ford Romania.

Ford also appointed Attila Szabo as general manager of Ford Romania – National Sales Company, replacing Valerio Brenciaglia, who was named customer service manager at Ford Italy.
