European Eye Center Launches $20M Hospital In Bucharest

Turkish-owned European Eye Center on Friday launched a private ophthalmology hospital in Bucharest, after an investment of $20 million.

The unit, called Europe Eye Hospital, has a surface of 10,000 square meters, eight operating rooms and 12 offices. The hospital has 30 patient rooms, three VIP wards and four post-operatory rooms, with an examination capacity of 600 patients per day.

The unit will employ 30 surgeons.

Europe Eye will be fitted with a mobile diagnosis and operation clinic, which will provide free consultations and assistance for Romanians in disfavored areas.
