05.26.2011 ZF English

Pelican Impex, controlled by four doctors in Oradea, has started to build a hospital in Cluj-Napoca with a total area of 23,000 square meters, which will require a EUR50 million investment, according to Marius Adrian Maghiar, one of the owners of the Pelican group.

Maghiar says the project is partly financed by Erste Bank, which also financed the first hospital of the Pelican group, a project built in 2008 in Oradea, following a EUR15 million investment.

The value of the loan has not been revealed by the company shareholder.

Adrian Maghiar only said the Cluj hospital would have 300 beds, and that it would also host university research offices. If the investment is completed, it will be one of the biggest private hospitals project announced on the local market.
