Sandoz Appoints New Country Head For Romania

Swiss drug maker Sandoz recently appointed Adrian Samson as country head, replacing Iztok Sever, who "chose to pursue personal projects outside the company".

Iztok Sever left the company after concluding his six-year mandate, according to a Sandoz news release

Prior to this new appointment, Samson was general manager of the GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare unit.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Samson held the position of general manager of GSK Consumer Healthcare during the January 2007-January 2011 period. According to the same sources, Samson was also the marketing manager of Coty Beauty, as well as a senior brand manager of the same company.

Sandoz is the generic drugs unit of Basel-based Novartis group. For 2011, the company announced it planned EUR7 million investments in domestic production facilities.
