Asking Prices For Bucharest Apartments Down 13% On Year In April

The average asking prices for apartments in Bucharest dropped 13% on the year in April, realty ads portal anunturiparticulari.ro said Monday.

The company's report shows a constant decrease in the average price of two-room and studio flats, stagnation for three-room flats and a slight increase for four-room flats, compared with the previous months.

"For studio flats, owners are asking an average price of EUR37,350. Prices fell 13% in the past 12 months, 23% in the past 24 months and 51% in the past 36 months," the document reads.

For two-room apartments, the average price reached a new low of EUR57,900, down 2% on the month, 13% on the year and 50% compared to April 2008.

Asking prices for three-room flats remained constant compared to March, at an average EUR81,400. Compared to April 2010, the price dropped 11%, while compared to April 2008, the price decreased 47%.

Regarding four-room flats, asking prices rose 4% on the month, but were down 9% on the year, to an average EUR105,000. Compared to April 2008, the price is 47% lower.

The Anunturiparticulari.ro portal was launched in 2001 by Agentie.NET, and it monitors all real estate ads published by individuals online or in printed media.
