Billa Romania Takeover By Carrefour Close To Completion

The negotiations between French-held Carrefour and the 85-supermarket network Billa have made significant progress and are close to completion, after moving at a slow pace for several months during which other contenders dropped out of the race. One such potential buyer was Mega Image supermarket chain, market sources say.
