Cold Snap And Blizzard Disrupt Romania, Make Retailers Feel Like It’s Christmas All Over Again

Romania is battling extreme temperatures and the southeast region is disrupted by the blizzard. Schools are closed, dozens of roads are blocked and some domestic flights have been cancelled. Hotel operators in mountain resorts say many customers cancelled their reservations, while some industrial companies are having trouble operating. The third shift at the Dacia plant was cancelled on Friday because employees could not get to work on time, which means EUR5 million lower sales for the company.
