Distribution Companies Start Hiring

05.25.2011 ZF English

Interbrands, Top Brands Distribution and Macromex are just a few of the biggest fast moving consumer goods distributors that have in the last few months filled recruitment websites with job ads, especially for sales agent positions.

The average net salary offered by the ten biggest distribution companies to the over 7,000 Romanian employees is EUR560 net, 60% more than the average net salary recorded in the economy.

Although they are reluctant to disclose their recruitment plans or talk about the growth estimates for 2011, some of the biggest distributors of FMCG have already announced quite ambitious plans, considering the 5% consumer-spending decline recorded last year and the fact that it continued into the first quarter of 2011.

Simba Invest, controlled by Bacau entrepreneurs Sorin Gavrila and Cristinel Lungu, will hire 80 people this year, an increase of nearly 20%.

Macromex plans to hire 20 this year, according to the answer provided to ZF's survey for the "Biggest Players in the Economy" yearbook, which will be published in June.

Interbrands and Top Brands Distribution, the top two players on the FMCG distribution market, held by Lebanese shareholders, have several tens of job openings on recruitment websites, especially for sales agents positions.
