Kaufland And Lidl Control Over A Quarter Of Modern Retail Sales

German-held group Schwarz, which operates Kaufland discount hypermarket chain and Lidl discount stores, generated revenue of over EUR2.3 billion last year in Romania, thus controlling 13% of the overall domestic food trade and around one quarter of modern retail, according to ZF estimates based on market data.
