Lidl Set Lower Prices After Takeover Of Discount Store Chain Plus

After taking over discount store chain Plus Discount in 2010, German retailer Lidl set lower prices than those in Plus stores and doubled the share of its cheaper, self-branded products in total sales, according to a report by Romania’s antitrust body.
