Romania Remains Leading Sunflower Producer In EU

This year’s sunflower harvest in Romania, estimated at 2.1 million tons, is down 1.6% from the all-time high reached last year, while the 1.9 tons/hectare yield is within EU average. However, the crop is the second highest in 27 years and allows the country to remain the top sunflower producer in the EU.
