Romsym Data Posts 7% Rise In ’10 Sales, To EUR5.9M

Romanian software distributor Romsym Data on Monday reported a 7% increase in sales last year, to EUR5.9 million, from EUR5.5 million in 2009, mainly due to higher exports and a widened range of services.

Romanian software distributor Romsym Data on Monday reported a 7% increase in sales last year, to EUR5.9 million, from EUR5.5 million in 2009, mainly due to higher exports and a widened range of services.

The profit margin was close to 10%, according to company general manager Razvan Balint.

"For 2011, we are planning sales of EUR6 million and staying on profit," Balint told MEDIAFAX.

The company was founded in 1992 and it is sole distributor for Linux software maker Red Hat in Romania.

In addition, the company distributes software made by Symantec, Macromedia, Adobe, Veritas, SPSS and Dot Hill. At the end of 2010, Romsym Data had 28 employees.
