Private equity firm Carlyle Group came to control 36 firms in Romania, operating in various economic sectors, and its last acquisition targeted a series of assets of oil and gas company OMV Petrom SA, taken over through Mazarine Energy Romania, a fully owned subsidiary of Mazarine Energy BV.
