IMF Arrangement At A Turning Point: Reforms Are Stalling, Economy Has Yet To Rebound

The precautionary arrangement that Romania sealed with the International Monetary Fund in the spring of 2011 and which was supposed to end in April 2013 has reached a turning point: Romania asked for a two-month “grace period” to meet unfulfilled commitments and the opposition talks about a suspension or even a termination of the arrangement unless significant progress is made.
