Romanian boxer Lucian Bute told a news conference Friday he will defend his IBF super middleweight title on July 9, in Romania.

Romanian boxer Lucian Bute told a news conference Friday he will defend his IBF super middleweight title on July 9, in Romania.

"I want to make it up to my Romanian supporters with this match. I want to promote Romania and make this match a worldwide event," said Bute.

Bute added he is ready top fight anyone and doesn't yet know who he will be up against.

Bute kept his IBF super middleweight title on March 20, knocking out Irish Brian Magee, at the Centre Bell in Montreal, Canada.
