European Commission Publishes Interim Report On Romania Under CVM

The European Commission's interim report on the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM), published Wednesday, appreciates Romania's progress in reforming the justice system, making special note of the track record of the National Anticorruption Department (DNA) and National Integrity Agency (ANI), although concerns persist regarding the judiciary's ability to respond to problems with magistrate integrity and responsibility.
