The housing and population census is over but the controversies are just beginning. Poorly organized, it only goes to show the confusions created by state institutions. Incompetence on the part of the political class, which insists on putting its own people in key positions normally reserved for professionals, has been widely demonstrated this year, and not just by all the stammering at this year’s census.
