Officer Within Interior Ministry Earns Twice As Much As The Minister

The biggest salary of a public sector employee is 11,248 lei (around EUR2,500) and is earned by a general manager within the Ministry of External Affairs. The employee earned 1.7 times more in March this year than the minister, according to data published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
