Romanian President Traian Basescu is on a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan and has arrived in Baku Monday, where he will hold private talks with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev.

Romanian President Traian Basescu is on a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan and has arrived in Baku Monday, where he will hold private talks with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev.

The Romanian head of state is accompanied by Economy Minister Ion Ariton and Foreign Ministry state secretary Doru Costea.

Romania and Azerbaijan will sign a series of bilateral documents.

The Romanian head of state will also meet with Azeri Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and Parliament speaker Oktaz Assadov.
