Vasile Blaga: Censure Motion Unlikely To Be Successful According To Parliamentary Mathematics

Vasile Blaga has recently stated that the censure motion is unlikely to be successful according to “parliamentary mathematics”, but the liberals are counting on the “good faith of certain PSD and UNPR members towards their electorate” and hopes to remove Ponta government.

The censure motion "Victor Ponta – dismissed for excess of power by blocking elections. The right to vote is not a slogan!" will be debated and voted on Friday in the plenum of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, while PSD and UNPR announced they would not participate in the voting process.

According to liberal Ludovic Orban, the leaders of the majority are afraid of betrayal and prefer to keep their MPs under control, by refusing to vote.

The president of PSD National Council, Rovana Plumb, stated that PSD will attend the meeting out of respect for the Parliament, but the party will not vote, as the opposition’s measure would only generate chaos and political instability”. (Puterea)
