Banks' Adjustment To Crisis: 450 Units Closed And 5,000 People Left Since 2008

The banking system continues to slowly adapt its territorial network to the weak loan demand, particularly on the retail segment, so that 32 units were shut down in the second quarter, with 6,105 still operating. The first three months of the year saw a similar pace of banking network curtailing.
