Banks Paid Just RON1B In Profit Tax In Last Three Years Of Economic Turmoil

The economic crisis caused losses for around half the 42 banks on the Romanian market, with the budget “losing” a big share of the resources that banks used to pay in profit tax, as the overall profit tax in the last three crisis years amounting to just around EUR1B.
