Banks Refinanced Household Loans Worth Of EUR850 Million In One Year

About 160,000 Romanians took out loans to refinance or consolidate debt with a cumulated value of more than EUR850 million (3.6 billion lei) from June last year through May 2011. The number of such loans was double the number registered from June 2009 through May 2010, data collected by the Competition Council reveals.
