Generali Romania 1H Underwritings Down 14%, Profit Halves To RON9.7M

Insurer Generali Romania underwrote premiums of 201 million lei (about EUR47 million) in the first half of the year, down 14% on the year, and its net profit dropped to RON9.7 million from RON18.9 million in the first half of 2010, the insurer said Thursday.
