Non-Performing Retail Loans Cause Banks EUR2B Losses

A total of 9 billion lei (EUR2 billion) worth of retail loans were more than 90 days overdue at the end of February, written off by banks because chances of recovery were slim to none. Such loans account for almost three quarters of the past due loans taken out by consumers.
