The insurance market will be regulated by people who have barely had anything to do with this industry so far, which means politicians had the final say in the appointment of the new management of the Insurance Supervisory Commission. This is exactly opposite to what happened at the National Bank of Romania, where professionals prevailed with one exception in the 2009 elections.
