RCA Premiums Higher In First 9 Months, Mainly Due To Increased Tariffs

Premiums underwritten on the segment of mandatory car insurance policies (RCA) rose 16% to 1.756 billion lei (EUR0.3 billion) in the first nine months of 2013, largely due to higher tariffs charged by insurers, an official of Romania’s Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) said Thursday.
