Treichl Rejects Proposals By Erste Shareholders To Change BCR Name

Andreas Treichl, CEO of Erste Bank, says he is against giving up the name of a bank that includes the name of the country where it operates, so the BCR brand (Romanian Commercial Bank) will be kept as such. He said this in answer to proposals of certain shareholders to replace the BCR name with the Austrian brand in order to mark a turning point in the evolution of the Romanian-based bank.
