Volksbank To Become Newest State-Owned Bank In Romania

Volksbank Romania, the only bank in Central and Eastern Europe still held by Austrian group Volksbank, will be indirectly controlled by the government in Vienna as of Thursday once the nationalization of the Austrian lender is confirmed by the general meeting of shareholders.
