Electrica Opens Slighty Up In Bucharest In Declining Market

Electrica (EL.RO) opened slightly up Friday, in their first day of trading in Bucharest, in a declining market.

Electrica opened at 11.11 lei (EUR2.5) per share, from a final price of RON11 per share in the initial public offering ended last week. In the first hour of the session, Electrica shares traded between RON11.04 and RON11.26.

At around 11:00 local time (GMT0800), the bourse’s main index BET was trading down 0.69%, while BETPlus was declining 0.65%.

BET-FI, which tracks the main investment funds, was down 0.7%, with SIF Oltenia (SIF5.RO) and SIF Muntenia (SIF4.RO) losing 1.4% and 1.3%.

Trades with Electrica shares accounted for RON15.6 million in the first hour of the session, when a total of RON25.6 worth of shares changed hands on the whole market.
