Stock Market's 2011 Performance Disappointed Investors

The performance of the capital market disappointed investors who bought shares early this year expecting a rebound of the Romanian economy and an increase in the interest for the local market, after investment fund Fondul Proprietatea’s (FP.RO) listing and the government’s stock offerings. Only 14 of the 83 listed shares on Bucharest Stock Exchange’s (BVB) main market have grown this year, while the BET index is getting ready to end in red for the third time in its sixteen year history.
