Fondul Proprietatea’s plan to launch a public tender offer to buy back 600 million or 4.35% of its own shares could be the last chance for Franklin Templeton, the fund’s manager, to keep its mandate. The administrator of Fondul Proprietatea is increasingly pressured by the fund’s major shareholders, who are unhappy with the results and are already seeking a new manager.
