US’s Templeton Asks For Extended Powers At Proprietatea Fund

American company Franklin Templeton, manager of the EUR3.6 billion assets of regional investment fund Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO), is asking shareholders to allow it to decide on its own on selling stakes in energy companies in the fund’s portfolio, without calling a General Meeting of Shareholders or seeking the government’s advice.
